Edward Jones - Financial Advisor: Doug Sklar

As a branch team, we strive to be focused on the needs of the families that we work with by delving into their goals that encompass health, family, purpose and finances. We do not want to just be a financial advisor who strictly makes recommendations about investments.

As a financial advisor, I seek to understand what is most important to my clients. One of my responsibilities includes discussing solutions to problems and opportunities that clients are already aware of; and uncovering others that my 30-plus years of experience allows me to see that they may not.

I have been with Edward Jones in Omak, WA since July of 1992. Prior to moving to Omak, I was a financial advisor in California. Shortly after my wife, Jacque, and I moved to Washington, we had our son, Stephen. Soon after, we had our son, Gregory. Today, Stephen is a successful Edward Jones financial advisor and married to Emily – a future teacher. Greg is an estate, probate and elder law attorney and married to Larissa, who is also a successful Edward Jones financial advisor.

In my practice, I believe that every person has a financial ship, and my clients are the captains of their ship. When we work together, I serve as the navigator/radar person. I do this by seeking to truly understand what is most important – whether it's planning for retirement, investing the proceeds from the sale of a home, business or a large settlement, or simply protecting the financial future of the ones that mean most. By taking the time to educate my clients on Edward Jones' established process, I help set a course for their goals. Finally, by proactively partnering throughout their lives, I continue my relentless solution-focus to help make sure those goals are reached.

Because of our reputation, our team finds ourselves working with households from all over the country. We make a great effort to impact our clients, community, and everyone we are in contact with. Gay, Krysta, Ginnie and I look forward to serving you.
